Scientist to Associate Director, Bioanalytical and Non-clinical Development Operations

Position Overview

The Scientist/Associate Director (level will be adjusted based on experience and qualifications), Bioanalytical and non-clinical development operations is a broad role within the Nonclinical Development Department for general study management and bioanalytical scientific lead in support of Disc Medicine’s drug development.


  • Serve as Bioanalytical liaison between internal teams and CROs for PK and biomarker support for non-GLP/GLP/Clinical studies
  • Serve as the bioanalytical subject matter expert for assigned programs/studies, collaborate with functional head to provide bioanalytical solutions to achieve program milestones
  • Establish internal processes/workflow to manage samples, methods, data, reports, contracts, budgets for studies within the non-clinical development organization
  • Interact with cross-functional teams within Disc Medicines to provide operational support for nonclinical development studies
  • Collaborate with CROs to address operational needs for contracts, samples, data, and reports to meeting project timelines


  • Education in analytical chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, biology, immunology or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience of working in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry. 
  • Experience in working with CROs is required 
  • Expertise in bioanalysis for drugs, biomarkers and/or pharmacodynamic markers is required
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Excellent CRO management skills and willingness to be hands-on
  • Demonstrated expertise in bioanalysis for antibody and anti-drug antibody assays is preferred
  • Expertise in bioanalysis using LCMS and other bioanalytical tools is a plus
  • Working experience in GLP environment in supporting toxicology and clinical studies, familiar with regulatory guidance in bioanalytical field is a plus
